Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
You will lead the HR team for Altair Germany, Nordics, Benelux & Austria supporting sales, tech, development, and corporate functions as an HR Business Partner. You will be providing advisory support to management and employees on e.g. HR strategies, employee relations and talent matters in support of attracting & retaining the best talent. This role will report to Altair’s CPO, with dotted line to Altair’s Country Manager for Germany, Nordics, Benelux & Austria. The role is located in Böblingen, Germany, but requires travel to support country and/or local office needs.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively collaborates with Country Manager, in designing and implementing key HR strategies – including active involvement with workforce planning, compliance, recruitment, compensation planning (merit / annual increases), performance management, leadership and management development, employee engagement, turnover analysis/retention statistics, etc.
- Understand Corporate HR’s service delivery model in the areas of employer branding, recruitment, compensation (salary plan-level-grades), learning & development, HR reporting & analytics, etc
- Determine change management approach for adopting and localizing these services and solutions, while ensuring local regulatory and local labor compliance.
- Develops and executes recruiting strategies in support of Altair’s customer needs; provides leadership for recruiting and retention of talent; ensure we mitigate risk with action plans to avoid extended openings in critical positions.
- Actively works together with leaders across the organization to strengthen and nurture Altair’s unique culture.
- Proactively collaborates with internal customers on HR, workforce and talent matters to ensure business strategies and goals are achieved.
- Responsible for oversight of “Hire-to-Retire” processes and metrics to ensure the best and brightest talent is attracted, on-boarded and retained across assigned footprint.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations matters. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective due diligence on employee relations matters.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of local, legal requirements related to daily employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory & audit compliance.
- Oversight of countries’ payroll, compliance & audits, regulatory filings, and year-end statements.
- Ensure country compliance and that handbooks and policies are up to date, compliant & competitive with local market requirements and best practices.
- Responsible for understanding labor market and trends for branding, recruitment, total rewards, etc. Bringing forth proactive recommendations to adopt to ensure retention and effective recruitment.
- Works closely with management to improve engagement, morale, productivity, and retention. Ensure Altair’s brand internally and externally is valued as an employer of choice.
- Recommends HR policies and synergies/cost saving recommendations to Country Manager.
- Ability to evaluate, organize and motivate a high-performing HR team, who is customer-focused, agile and manages local risks & employee matters. Build, unite and inspire the local teams.
