Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a motivated self-starter to join our distribution team as HR Driver/Dockhand based in Dandenong South, VIC.

THIS ROLE IS A MORNING SHIFT FROM 7.30AM TO 3.30PM MON TO FRI

Key Accountabilities:

Dockhand:

  • Load and unload product for metro and regional deliveries
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely dispatching of goods
  • Ensure correct and accurate documentation is provided with loads
  • Perform administrative duties including the use of IT systems
  • Undertake dock housekeeping duties
  • Ensure correct stock rotation on floor of product and allocation of shelf life in preparation for delivery runs
  • Rapid response to customer needs
  • Culling and removal of broken crates and faulty dollies
  • Receipt of after-hours deliveries

    Driver:

  • Demonstrate and promote satisfactory food safety, quality and hygiene standards alongside Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) safe work practices

  • Drive and support HACCP and GMP in consultation with the team
  • Utilising handheld equipment appropriately and ensuring the return and charge on a daily basis and fault reporting as required
  • Ensure that the vehicle is bulk loaded according to the ‘Run Totals’ and to check that the residual Stock On Hand (SOH) matches the estimated SOH Sheet
  • Deliver In Full on Time (DIFOT) all quantities of product, depicted on each order
  • Pick-up and return all available empty crates and dollies from customers whilst ensuring the correct handling of dollies laden with empty crates
  • Liaise with customers whilst observing store regulations in order to develop strong and successful business relationships with all customers
  • Fully and accurately complete any forms involved in the completion of duties, ensuring that any matters that require checking or escalating are done so (immediately if urgent or by the end of shift) to the Supervisor or, in their absence, the Team Leader
  • Participate in general Warehouse housekeeping at all times
