Description:
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at our facility in Benicia, CA. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in our HR department and ensure the smooth operation of various HR functions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This position pays $70,000 - $90,000 per year. Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting interviews.
- Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance to employees regarding benefits eligibility, enrollment, and changes.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Administers payroll for all non-exempt shop employees, including but not limited to maintaining spreadsheets and weekly reports
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions on various HR topics, such as sexual harassment prevention and diversity awareness.
- Ensure HR compliance, including ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support Management with various projects and initiatives as needed.
