The HR Generalist is a full-time on-site position located in Perrysburg, OH. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will provide HR support and oversee and administer the company’s payroll functions.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understands confidentiality, privacy, integrity, and discretion of sensitive HR and payroll related information.
  • Strong knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to human resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
  • At least three years’ HR and payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Paycor or similar payroll system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.
  • Professionally represent Blink with prospective employees.
  • Support the VP of Human Resources in educating employees on and enforcing company policies.
  • Responsible for the administration and review of bi-monthly payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, 401(k), and other deductions and withholdings.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits.
  • Assist in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, screening candidates, interviews and processing background checks.
  • Manage the attendance point system for all hourly employees.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Human Resources on qualified candidates, selection process and other pertinent information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Responsible for tracking the performance management process dates for 30-day, 90-day, mid-year, annual and 360 feedback for all employees.
  • Assist with employee paperwork and employment records.
  • Perform exit interviews with terminated employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Other duties as assigned.
