ROLE: HR Generalist
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
JOB DESCRIPTION: HGS is seeking a highly-qualified HR Generalist to support all aspects of our company’s human resources activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in human resources, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong commitment to ethical practices. Experience working for a federal contractor is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience working for a federal contractor (preferred).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage employee relations, including handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including regulations specific to federal contractors.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including creating job descriptions, posting job openings, and conducting interviews.
  • Manage the compensation and benefits program, including salary administration and employee benefits.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
