Are you a people person with a passion for HR? We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Generalist II to join our team. As an HR Generalist II, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our employees and ensuring a positive work environment. You will have the opportunity to engage in various HR functions, such as recruitment, compliance, employee development, and employee relations. Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar HR role
  • 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing facility with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, procedures, and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with a Union
  • HRCI certification is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviews and onboarding
  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollment, changes and terminations
  • Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HR
  • Examine unemployment compensation claims, identify and forward discrepancies in claims; compiles data on claims and secures witnesses for unemployment compensation claims hearings
  • Continuous interaction with department contacts and making regular visits to ensure understanding of processes and give support for one-on-one training and questions
  • Facilitate human resource transactions, including promotions, demotions, transfers, terminations and maintenance of relevant documents and records
  • Create employee engagement plans, obtain necessary budget approval and initiating activities
  • Coordinate in-house communication & community programs
  • Assist with the development & administration of all aspects of the company’s training and development program
