Description:
Great opportunity for HR generalist with local experience to be first line of support. Working closely with the CEO, you will be the point of contact for all HR matters for the 150 strong employees. Based in Mascot office, with parking onsite, your day will range from Talent , HR policy and ER/IR matter and ensuring best HR practice.
HR generalist responsibilities range from ER, performance management, policy and compliance and include such tasks as:
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.
- Performance Management: Assist in performance review processes and provide guidance to supervisors on performance improvement plans.
- Policy Development: Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and support employee training and development initiatives.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, prepare HR reports, and assist in payroll processing.
- Compliance: Stay updated on labour laws and regulations to ensure the company’s HR practices are in compliance.
- Safety: Manage all Workers Compensation claims in partnership with third party RTW provider.
What you need to bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or HR related degree
- Strong understanding of Australian HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
