Summary:
This position is responsible for Human Resource functions as assigned by the Employee Services Director Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures as well as federal and state employment laws is essential.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Relevant HR experience in areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, unemployment and regulatory compliance is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES (RECRUITMENT):

1.Responsible for the recruitment of staff as deemed appropriate by the Employee Services Director.
2.Communicate on a regular basis with Leadership and Managers regarding vacant positions and the status of recruitment efforts.
3.Responsible for the planning of recruitment events and attending career days and other recruitment activities as needed.
4.Utilize social media and other media outlets to attract and recruit qualified candidates.
5.Work in conjunction with HR team and department leadership/hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies for hard to fill vacancies.
6.Reviews employment applications and forwards qualified candidates to Leaders and Managers.
7.Process candidates for hire and makes job offers.
8.Obtains electronic reference checks and verifies licensure as required. Coordinates the completion of necessary physicals, background checks, verifications and employment paperwork.
9.Provide updates on recruitment strategies and vacancies to Director.
10.Maintain accurate information in applicant tracking system and provide designated reports by established deadlines.
11.Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with Leadership, Managers and staff. Work as a team with all HR personnel to provide a positive experience for applicants/employees. Assist with employee functions as requested.
12.Abide by all federal and state employment laws. Stay abreast of legislative changes and requirements affecting employment.
13.Must be able to uphold the highest degree of confidentiality in all daily operations. Must be flexible with hours.
14.Maintain accurate information in HRIS systems and provide reports to HR Leadership in a timely manner.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES (EMPLOYEE RELATIONS/REGULATORY/UNEMPLOYMENT):

1.Conduct employee relations investigations as needed and make recommendations to Employee Services Director. Work with Leadership, Managers and the Employee Services Director to enforce the progressive discipline process in a consistent manner.
2.Complete various projects and reports as directed by Employee Services Director or Chief HR Officer
3.Responsible for accurate and timely completion of monthly reports to the Board and Leadership.
4.Responsible for planning and teaching educational classes as needed.
5.Coordinate employee recognition activities as needed including “Of the Year” awards . Maintain departmental recognition budget.
6.Review re-hire eligibility status for applicants including conducting references, contacting previous manager, reviewing personnel file and making appropriate recommendations to Employee Services Director.
7.Conduct exit interviews as needed.
8.Coordinates primary source licensure verification process as required upon hire and prior to expiration. Maintain all required documentation and update electronic systems appropriately.
9.Completes adverse sanction checks upon hire and as required.
10.Conduct new hire, transfer and annual licensure verification audits within established timeframes.
11.Coordinates with the Louisiana Workforce Commission including separation notices, invoice validation, hearings, appeals and other data as required.
12.Works as a team with other HR personnel to provide a positive experience for applicants.
13.Abide by all federal and state employment laws and regulatory guidelines.
14.Stayabreastoflegislativechangesandrequirementsaffectingemployment.
15.Uphold the highest degree of confidentiality in daily operations. Must be flexible with hours.
16.Attend all required meetings and complete all necessary education and training.
17.Follows North Oaks Health System’s compliance programs and all federal and state regulatory guidelines.
