WHAT WE DO AT RIEDEL CANADA

Riedel Canada is a pioneer in the use of small form-factor pluggable (SFP) modules for digital signal processing. Our Engineering Hub develops miniaturized IP gateways, signal processors and converters for broadcast video applications, whilst our Operations team makes it all come to life. Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

As our Quebec based People Generalist, you will be reporting to the Head of People Operations. Alongside the R&D and Operations directors, you will be at the forefront of all the People Operations for Riedel Canada and you will act as the go to person to provide support and guidance to employees and management, and ensure a smooth run of the Laval site.
Please note this is an hybrid position and your presence is required at the office at least 3 days per week. The more you are in touch with our people, the better you can support them!

WHAT YOU WILL MOSTLY BE DOING

  • Promote a positive work environment, including driving the spirit of the social committee, coordinating onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Run the recruitment process, including drafting, reviewing and posting job openings, manage job fairs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Oversee payroll administration, including timekeeping, benefits enrolment, and liaising with external payroll and benefits providers.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations at the federal and provincial levels.
  • Collaboration on interesting projects on various HR topics.
