Description:

If you have a passion for Human Resources and you’re looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role involves various HR duties, including data entry, answering benefit questions and any additional administrative duties assigned. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 8:00am -5:00pm.

Your responsibilities

  • Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
  • Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
  • Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
  • Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
  • Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
  • Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
  • Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
  • Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
  • Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
  • Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
  • If you are highly professional, and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity, you will be a top candidate
  • Full cycle recruiting experience
  • Proven understanding local, state and federal laws
  • Excellent written and verbal business skills
  • Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
  • Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
  • Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
  • Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
