QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of experience in human resources role within a manufacturing environment preferred; degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Detail orientation with the ability to multi-task and prioritize independently; excellent time management skills and attendance are necessary.
  • Professional and customer service oriented.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to employees at all levels; maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgement and decision making, with the ability to analyze situations and present appropriate resolution(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all recruiting activities to include but not limited to requisitions, maintenance of the applicant tracking system, post positions internally and externally, attract top candidates, source and screen applicants, schedule and conduct interviews, extend offer letters, and manage pre-employment testing.
  • Participate in job fairs and other community events to support recruiting efforts; maintain relationships with high schools, colleges, and all apprentice related programs.
  • Utilize the HRIS system to process new hires, terminations and to assure employment changes have been processed appropriately; run and analyze reports as needed/requested.
  • Schedule and conduct new hire orientations assuring proper onboarding and training.
  • Administer, track, and manage all paid and unpaid leaves of absence.
  • Assist employees with benefit and enrollment questions providing guidance and assuring proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
  • Work closely with managers and employees to build positive working relationships and facilitate actions and decisions that support the company.
  • Provide guidance to all employees regarding their inquiries related to policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs.
  • Coach and support leaders through complex employee relations issues and performance management actions including coaching and counseling, career development, probationary and annual reviews, discipline, and terminations.
  • Perform monthly reporting related to performance reviews, vacation, turn over, applicant tracking, headcount, etc. providing value-added reporting to leaders and executives within the organization.
  • Manage the termination process; proper entry into the HRIS system, preparation of the termination letter and any related documentation, schedule and conduct exit interviews and provide reporting to leaders.
  • Administer the workers compensation needs assuring processes and procedures are being followed; collect all necessary documents, entry of recordable injuries into the OSHA log, follow up with employees, managers, and safety team to assure proper ?return to work? actions are being followed and reporting.
  • Perform various administrative duties related to human resources: employee correspondence, verifications of employment, child support, unemployment or other state agency requests for information, payroll support, new hire folder preparation, file and organizing where needed, etc.
  • Continuous improvement and updating of HR documents and procedures as needs are discussed or determined.
  • Perform and proactively volunteer for other duties and projects as the need arises or as assigned. Assist the HR Manager and HR Director with various projects as needed.
