Formal Qualifications And Experience

  • University degree, preferably in HR Management
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR management preferably in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in change management is an asset
  • Background knowledge in compensation and benefits, job evaluation, incentive plans
  • Good knowledge of Portuguese employment law and industrial relations practices
  • Fluency in English and Portugues

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The HR Manager plans, organises and directs the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs regarding recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, health and safety, labour relations and employee relations necessary to carry out company and plant objectives.
The HR Manager implements, monitors the implementation of legal and regulatory obligations relating to its areas of activity and ensure full compliance with all laws and national wide agreement. The HR Manager provides guidance to Plant Manager, functional managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of established human resources policies to create a climate of trust and open communication.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage complete human resources administration, processes and policies and provide professional HR practices for the site including contract, transfer, promotion, disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Prepare annual HR budgets in collaboration with the finance controller and the plant general manager of the site.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with plant management team and partner with all departments to provide guidance in driving business strategies and support change initiatives
  • Manage labor negotiations
  • Design and develop a comp & ben strategy to be perceived as the employer of choice in an increasingly competitive environment for talent.
  • Manage the benefits program including fleet, insurances (life, health and work insurances) and others in collaboration with external providers.
  • Counsel or provide assistance to employees regarding inquiries related to payroll, benefits, policies, procedures and programs.
  • Employer branding of AF Lisbon through community involvement etc.
  • Improve the apprenticeship program to feed the pipeline for the plant operations (technical, quality, maintenance and prepress).
  • Build trust-based relationships with all the co-workers and maintain shopfloor presence.
  • Embed the talent management program which includes a proper skill matrix for the different roles and cross training and multiskilling programs to gain flexibility.
  • Ensure that performance is managed for all employees and that personal objectives are set and measured in a consistent manner.
  • Identify development actions and define annual training orientations as part of the annual training plan.
  • Actively manage the recruitment and selection for positions at AF Lisbon, aligned with the recruitment policy and talent acquisition tools and processes of AFEMEA.
  • Ensure Management Incentive Plans which comply with AFEMEA rules and templates are in place for all key staff in accordance with Amcor policies.
  • Manage co-worker communications in accordance with the requirements of AFEMEA communications policies and strategy.
  • Implementation of Amcor policies at the plant level, adapted to meet local jurisdictional requirements where necessary, including compliance to Code of Conduct etc.
  • Monitor payroll administration in compliance with Amcor compensation and auditing processes and control social statements.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
