ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Federal government department responsible in leading a global effort to preserve and protect one of the planet’s most significant natural wonders located in Australia. Currently looking for an HR Manager to join their busy team for a 6-months temporary assignment.
Responsibilities:
As HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing one or several HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, HR compliance and/or HR projects. In addition, you will
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Lead, manage and direct all aspects of project management including planning, executing, monitoring, reporting and contract / supplier management.
- Consult and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to understand current and emerging views and considerations.
- Undertake research and analysis to inform and provide recommendations.
- Undertake necessary steps to review and amend policies, procedures and processes as required.
- Prepare written briefs, communication material and project updates as required to a high standard.
- Manage associated resources effectively and within budget including staffing and procurement within Commonwealth Procurement guidelines.
About you:
- Previous experience in an HR leadership role
- Experience in one or more key functional areas within HR (e.g., Recruitment, Learning and Development, Payroll, Employee Relations, or Project Management)
- Background in managing HR projects is a plus!
- Experience in a HRIS and recruitment / onboarding platforms
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent
- Sound knowledge in policy development and implementation
Benefits:

- $75 - $85 per hour + super
