Ed Morse Automotive Group is currently looking for an HR Manager to join our Corporate Office team in Delray Beach, FL!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide backup support to HR Directors as needed, including attending meetings, handling escalated issues, and representing HR in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for all HR inquiries, providing expert guidance and support on HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on background screening reports, presenting findings to the HR Director for final decision-making.
  • Investigate and evaluate requests for rehires, compiling relevant data and presenting recommendations to the HR Director for consideration.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR Directors and various departments and dealerships to facilitate effective communication and implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction, such as exit interviews, employee appreciation efforts, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Take the lead in managing employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, compiling documentation, and presenting findings to the HR Director for review and guidance. Escalate incidents as necessary for appropriate resolution.
  • Collaborate with the risk management team on workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and offering appropriate light-duty options in line with medical restrictions.
  • Provide comprehensive support for FMLA and leave processes, including paperwork completion, communication with team members and leadership, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and return-to-work procedures.
  • Conduct research, gather supporting documentation, and represent the company at unemployment hearings to effectively manage unemployment claims.
  • Assist with transitions and open enrollment processes, including coordinating travel arrangements as needed.
  • Support HR Directors in employee engagement efforts, including the development and execution of strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a dealership or automotive industry setting.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software.
  • SHRM or other HR certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and FMLA regulations.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in conducting investigations and handling employee relations issues.
  • Familiarity with employment law and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
