Description:

The HR Manager / Payroll provides strategic direction and involvement on employee relations matters as well as performs diverse assignments including facilitating staffing, compensation, benefits, diversity, learning and development, employee relations, all payroll related functions and information management. Administer, coordinate, evaluate and manage daily activities and policies, with emphasis on, but not limited to, recruiting, on boarding, training, benefits, employee relations, and safety for the Insight One family of companies and affiliates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams, and individual employees to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment law.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers regarding employee relations issues - according to local, state, and federal employment law while fostering an environment of positive employee relations by maintaining confidentiality, spending significant time interfacing directly with employees and managers to establish trust and credibility, being approachable and fair, balancing business needs with employee need.
  • Utilize good judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
  • Investigates, refer and/or respond as appropriate to a wide variety of sensitive and complex internal or external inquiries, issues, complaints and/or grievances.
  • Compensation and benefits administration and processing which includes leaves of absence, performance assessment and 401K.
  • Workforce management actions including hires, promotions/demotions/transfers, terminations and/or layoffs, as necessary.
  • Coordinate training programs as required or requested, the new hire training program.
  • Oversee community relations by incorporating activities and resources to provide positive community relationship
  • Design, coordinate and manage appropriate employee morale building ev
  • Knowledge of company benefits leave policy and payroll system with the ability to advise employees on both as need
  • Responsible to respond to unemployment claims for all companies.
  • Lead, manage, direct, and evaluate staff on all Recruiting and Human Resources related projects and programs as assigned.
  • Assisting department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Assisting in administration of the compensation program; helps monitor the performance appraisal process.
  • Participating in benefits administration to include claims resolution and change reporting.
  • Participating in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel.
  • Participating in new-employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
  • Filing EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures.
  • Assisting in the exit interview process.
  • Assisting in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Maintaining human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
  • Helps maintaining company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Process payroll for all companies.
