SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Exposure to in working in a retail setting is advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge and experience of all key HR processes, practices, and employment laws within retail space.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Awareness of cultural diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a vital part of the HR team managing up to 4 team members and reporting into the Director of the business, this role contributes significantly to enhancing HR processes within a growing business. You will be assisting with recruitment and onboarding as well as nurturing employee relations, training, development, and overseeing performance management. Collaborate seamlessly with the HR team and other departments to harmonise all activities with organisational objectives, goals, and policies.
DUTIES
This role will include duties such as:
- Playing a pivotal role in succession planning to strategically align HR initiatives with organisational growth.
- Addressing employee inquiries on policies, procedures, benefits, and HR matters, offering timely and accurate guidance.
- Prioritising training and recruitment as the focus to continually improve staff development and growth.
- Full end-to-end recruitment, writing job descriptions, posting job ads, screening candidates, and conducting interviews as well as working alongside hiring managers to select candidates.
- Managing onboarding, guiding new hires through procedures, completing documentation, and conducting orientations.
- Assisting with resolving employee relations issues and grievances, ensuring adherence to policies and legal requirements.
- Supporting performance management, helping with goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Establishing connections with external stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and Australia-wide to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Helping stores in handling incidents, reinforcing a commitment to OH&S and complying with legislation within the retail space.
