Job Description
This is a key role in providing robust, and value add HR support and service across Italy, whilst supporting the delivery of the Global HR Strategy into the business to build our culture, values, and capabilities. As HR Manager you will provide guidance to managers on effective strategic HR initiatives and ensure a strong people experience for employees, support the end-to-end employment lifecycle, support, and lead critical changes, and ensure compliance with Italian employment law.
Reporting to the Reginal HR Manager for South EMEA, the HR Manager role will provide support to Italy, including 3 legal entities (2 factories and 1 selling entity). The HR Manager will be a business partner to the Country Leader and Plant Managers will provide advice to the local business leaders, while working in close collaboration with the other HR team members.
In this role you will work closely to the Plant managers and the wider leadership teams to enable effective delivery of strategic HR initiatives and proactively support managers and employees with the best practice HR advice to deliver a high-performance workforce and engaged culture. You will work on a wide range of projects to ensure that we optimize our organizational design and build engagement whilst supporting the delivery of the Global HR Strategy into the business. You will have line management responsibility for one HR Advisor. The role will be based in Lucca; however, you will be required to travel occasionally to Bergamo were Rotork has one of its factories.
This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can coach, influence and support managers and leaders on a range of people activities. Provide robust employee relations advice and support across all areas relating to the employment law and ensure adherence to our policies and practices. Lead and participate in the negotiations with the unions and collective bargaining agreement, addressing union related issues. Support the recruitment and selection of employees across all disciplines to ensure a fair and structured approach. Responsible for the pay review process and ensure adherence to the Reward Strategy whilst coaching managers around process and procedure, working with the country and wider leadership team to build a strong positive employee culture and levels of engagement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- HR Qualified with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 8 years progressive HR experience.
- Demonstrated experience in HR operations combined with a working knowledge and application of safety, health, compensation, recruitment, performance management.
- Knowledge/experience of employment laws in Italy.
- Demonstrated experience of working with local works Councils and Unions.
- Experience coaching and mentoring leaders and teams to achieve success.
- Prior experience working with complex matrix organizations.
- Fluent English
