POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our team and drive our human resources initiatives forward. The HR Manager will play a critical role in supporting our company’s growth by developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a blend of relevant education and experience.
  • Proven track record of at least 2 years in HR management or a similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, with expertise in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and employment law.
  • Some experience or exposure to human resources practices in the US would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and drive change within the organization.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational growth and business objectives.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with company objectives, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitating the creation and distribution of offer letters to candidates as directed by Hiring Managers.
  • Overseeing employee pre-boarding procedures, coordinating background checks, and organizing HR documentation, collaborating closely with Onboarding, Health & Safety, and Payroll teams to ensure seamless integration into the organization.
  • Leading performance management initiatives, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions to drive employee engagement and development.
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and other employee perks, ensuring competitive offerings that attract and retain top talent.
  • Managing HR data and records, including employee files, payroll information, and HR metrics, using HRIS systems and other software platforms.
  • Staying informed about HR trends, best practices, and legal developments in the oil and gas industry, recommending changes and improvements to HR policies and practices as needed.
