Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Portadown, Craigavon, BT62 3RB
Salary: Basic Salary between £25,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)
Full Time and Permanent – Monday – Friday – 9.00 am-5.30 pm
Responsibilities:
ROLE IS OFFICE BASED 5 DAYS (NO OPTION FOR HOME WORKING)
Our client is one of the largest and fastest-growing motor retailers. They represent major global franchises from various locations in Northern Ireland.
They are now actively looking to recruit an HR Officer for their head office in Portadown.
THE ROLE:
As HR Officer, you will form part of the HR team and be point of contact for all HR related queries along with assisting in the everyday duties involved in HR. You will report directly to the HR Manager, your duties will involve a combination of HR generalist and administration duties such as; recruitment, new employee onboarding, providing staff with advice on HR policies & procedures, absence management, holiday request management, performance management, employee communication, updating / maintaining HR information systems, payroll preparation and processing, completing statutory reports and organising staff travel arrangements. This is a varied role which will involve providing support to the HR Manager and Directors on a range of tasks / projects.
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Educated to degree level in either HR or Business-related discipline
- CIPD qualification (preferred not essential)
- 2 years HR Generalist experience - knowledge & working experience in the above HR areas
- Knowledge of Northern Ireland employment legislation
- Excellent IT Skills / fully competent using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word / Excel
- Excellent communication & presentation skills both verbal and written
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and flexible
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Good analytical, planning and organisational skills
- Results focused, with ability to work on own initiative
- Full driving licence.
