Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Human Resource Operations Specialist at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for administering Human Resource In-Country HR Operations Services for Singapore. This role is part of a larger ASEAN HR Shared Services Team covering Singapore, Indonesia and Australia. You will be required to interact with management, salaried and hourly employees to provide HR administration support, solutions and resolve issues while complying with local legislation and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • HR administration and generalist functions supporting Singapore employees of several legal entities / divisions under Caterpillar Inc.
  • Responsible for managing, updates, maintenance, and upgrades to the Workday Absence Module for Singapore. Providing advisory support for employee queries for leave and absence applications and entitlements and providing time-off information for leavers and payroll purposes
  • Coordinate and interact with Regional and Corporate Human Resources, Service Centers, Total Rewards and Payroll to resolve Manager and Employee queries
  • Interact with all levels of management, salaried and hourly employees to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel and performance related issues
  • HR documentations and letters including: Issuance of visa & employment certification letters, invitation letters for employees, job change letters, managing of personnel files, coordination for employee re-employment / retirement, exit process and documentations, etc.
  • Application and Renewal of Work Passes (Employment Pass S Pass, Dependent Pass, Long Term Visitor Pass) for local hires and their eligible dependents.
  • Completion and coordination of various government / labor market surveys.
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll processing and administration support as needed.
  • Update and document work process changes driven either by legal requirements or process improvements
  • Selected HR related projects: Workday system upgrades (especially Absences / Time and Attendance), Process improvements projects, global projects and initiatives.
