Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

As part of the Human Resources Total Rewards team, the HR Operations Specialist is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations, management, and execution of HR transactions. This position will provide support for the HR team, with a key focus on support for the HR Business Partners, and will have an opportunity to make a direct impact for our associates and managers. This position will collaborate across several areas of the business and will be required to maintain a strong customer service focus and high level of responsiveness. This role also offers rotational opportunities to gain experience in various HR functions, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the department’s diverse aspects.

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)

  • Provide accurate, consistent, and timely responses to associates and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, system questions and issues.
  • Support workforce administration processes and data input in the HRIS, such as terminations, transfers, management assignment updates and updates to personal data.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot associate and manager-related workforce transactions and issues.
  • Complete associate on-boarding and off-boarding activities, including leading the new hire orientation.
  • Process centralized operational requests including, but not limited to unemployment claims, correspondence notices, employment verifications, language assessments and Tuition Reimbursement requests.
  • Perform regular audits and identify corrective actions as needed.
  • Make recommendations to facilitate the improvement of HR processes and procedures.
  • Develop and update job aides and templates for associates and managers, as well as internal HR administrative resources.
  • Educate and assist associates and managers on company practices and tools to encourage them to resolve issues on their own.
  • Serve as main point of contact for company recognition program and make suggestions for future state updates and improvements to the program.
  • Maintain organizational compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to key HR initiatives and projects and provide ad hoc support for the HR Business Partners.
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.
  • Manager and administer company’s Workers Compensation Program, including claims support and vendor management

Qualifications (Experience and Education)

  • 3+ years of professional experience in HR administration.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Desire to proactively assist others and the ability to anticipate associate and manager needs.
  • Must be a self-starter with a high level of organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Must have a high level of integrity and discretion to effectively handle confidential information and situations with sound judgement and tact.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with across all levels and functions across the company.
  • Supportive team player with a drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Ability to perform assignments, under time constraints with poise and professionalism.
  • Passion for continuous process improvement and simplification of routine deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
