Description:
The Operations Specialist will drive, streamline and scale the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience at OpenGov. As part of onboarding, this role will manage our monthly New Hire Bootcamp program that enables Employees to hit the ground running and become quickly familiar with the company. Additionally, this position will act as an employee advocate to handle employee inquiries, verifications of employment, compliance, and support with additional administrative tasks such as benefits and immigration.
Requirements and Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of experience within Human Resources
- Experience providing Employee Data Maintenance
- Experience providing back office administrative and transactional support for different types of HR functions preferred
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Independent self-starter who can work with minimal direction and isn’t afraid to make recommendations to improve processes
- Must have the ability to remain focused, professional, tactful, committed to confidentiality and discrete when handling sensitive and/or confidential informatio
Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly new hire bootcamp program, this includes the organization of the current process while continuing to develop material that aligns with our culture and mission as we build for scale
- Manage the onboarding lifecycle process for candidates from offer letter to hire, while continuing to develop the onboarding program in efforts to maintain it’s “best in class” status
- Manage and coordinate the offboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for employees leaving the company
- Manage and ensure compliance for onboarding and offboarding across multiple states
- Coordinate our immigration program and be the point of contact between Employees and our outside immigration counsel
- Provide support and assistance to employees for internal questions routed through the HR alias
- Drive system setup and preparation for annual cycles and programs such as performance reviews and engagement surveys
- Generate, update, and maintain reports for cross functional partners
- Assist in supporting HR programs, processes and initiatives, such as performance management, compensation, benefits, and immigration
