Aalto University centers around people and talent as there is no university without them. We are currently seeking an HR Partner & HRD Specialist, Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding. This is a combined role where in one hand you are responsible on Aalto University’s recruitments and employer branding, and in other hand you work as the HR partner for one of our service units. This unique role ensures that Aalto University attracts and engages game-changing talent, as well as enables the success and wellbeing of our service professionals.

As the HRD Specialist, Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding, you are in charge of:

  • working as the dedicated HR support in our leadership team level recruitments
  • providing in-house headhunting services to our key recruitments
  • developing Aalto University’s talent acquisition and recruitment processes and practices
  • training and sparring our supervisors and HR in modern recruitment and talent acquisition practices
  • managing the relationships with our recruitment partners
  • developing our employer brand together with Aalto’s communications services
  • working closely with our communications, brand and marketing to ensure we speak to our audiences in a way that shows our culture in a genuine and inspiring way

As the HR Partner, you are in charge of:

  • acting as an HR partner for the service unit, working as part of the unit’s management team
  • coaching and supporting team leaders
  • working as a sparring partner in change management
  • managing HR operative people processes
  • talent, resource and performance management and development
  • driving employee wellbeing actions

You report to the Head of People and Organizational Development and in matrix to Joint Services HR Manager. You work tightly with Service Director, as well as in cooperation with CHRO of Aalto University.
Your experience and ambitions:
You are an experienced talent acquisition and HR professional, having solid experience in end-to-end ownership of demanding recruitment projects and modern talent acquisition practices. You have open and proactive way of working. You enjoy developing the current practices and creating new ones. Your working style is dynamic, collaborative, solution oriented and innovative.

  • Background in headhunting – you know how to identify and attract passive talent,
  • Experience in talent acquisition within an expert organization,
  • Experience in working as an HR Partner,
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and high customer service mindset,
  • Development mindset and capacity for conceptual thinking,
  • Excellent English skills and working knowledge in Finnish,
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
