Robert Half is working with an established organization on an HR Recruiter opportunity. As the HR Recruiter, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment process from candidate sourcing to hiring. This involves strategizing and implementing innovative and effective sourcing techniques, screening potential hires, conducting initial interviews, coordinating events and managing networking opportunities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player having excellent interpersonal skills. This HR Recruiter role is within the Waterloo, Iowa area and looking for a long-term contract/contract to permanent individual. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute recruiting plans
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, and employees
- Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives
- Handle administrative duties and recordkeeping
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate interviews
- Assist managerial staff with hiring decisions and negotiations
- Maintain relationships with industry contacts to provide customer service, gain industry knowledge, and get referrals
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans
- Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3+ years of experience in recruitment, ideally full-cycle recruiting
- Strong familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases
- Solid background in sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
- Excellent knowledge of labour legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively
