Description:
HR & RECRUITMENT OFFICER - PACIFIC LABOUR FACILITY
Project Overview and Role: The HR and Recruitment Officer will provide administrative and coordination support to the HR and Recruitment Team in the provision of recruitment, performance management, induction, and other human resource functions to support the Pacific Labour Facility program (PLF).
Required Qualifications: The HR and Recruitment Officer will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Relevant HR or business-related qualification, or equivalent working experience
- Experience in a HR Administrator/Officer position with strong organisational skills
- Demonstrated administrative experience in recruitmentactivities,postingvacancies,conductinginitialscreening, arranging interviews, conducting due diligence and reference checks
- Provenabilityinhandlingmultipletaskseffectivelyunderheavytimeandworkpressure while maintaining work quality
- Proven ability to plan and manage schedules, files/database and working materials as well as to keep confidentiality of documents and information
- Well-developed communication skills, including in a cross-cultural context
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, particularly in a cross-cultural context
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the HR & Recruitment Manager, the HR and Recruitment Officer will:
- Support all aspects of PLF program human resources in line with Palladium guidelines, DFAT policy, Australian Employment Law and Local Pacific and Timor Leste Labour Laws
- Support the administration of PLF recruitment processes, including phone screens, job placements, shortlisting, CV management, interviews
- Complete the due diligence process for all selected candidates and ensure all staff engaged by PLF fulfil DFAT and Palladium compliance requirements (child protection policy, reference checks, code of conduct etc.)
- Support the quality and compliance of staff on-boarding, staff performance management, leave management, compensation and benefit arrangement (insurance etc.) and off-boarding process
- Administer the probation review processes and the annual performance review processes - regularly following up with line managers to ensure completion of reviews
- Ensure all personnel HR information is updated in Palladium HR systems
- Provide general administration support to the HR team including management of inbox, preparation and delivery of accurate communication content for staff updates and reporting
- Assist with special projects, such as process improvements and new policies
- Maintain up to date and thorough soft copy of HR files, ensuring safekeeping of classified information and documents
- Undertake and deliver the outcomes and objectives of the role in accordance with the expected Core Capabilities, Ways of Working and Values of ONE PLF
