Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for all HR related inquires for Benefits, HR systems and programs, policies and procedures, etc. in Canada and the US
  • Provide training, guidance and escalate issues as needed to HR and Managers
  • Process data entry and maintenance of employees’ records using Workday; semi-complex to complex employee data changes (Promotions, transfers, international transfers, salary adjustments, department transfers, reporting relationships, etc.)
  • Professionally, tactfully, and diplomatically respond to employee’s inquiries related to the various HR functions utilizing the HR ticket tracking tool while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Conduct and host the New Employee Orientation in Canada and the US
  • Create and maintain employee files
  • Provide HR ad-hoc reports and training
  • Process onboarding and termination requests
  • Work on assigned projects with other functional HR groups such as Benefits, Talent and Learning, Compensation, HRIS, and Benefits to facilitate and/or lead projects as required
  • Provide some level of data analysis and audits to determine best approach
  • Take initiatives and make recommendations to improve work efficiencies and streamline HR processes and systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required with a concentration in HR preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
