Description:

As the HR Policy Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive audit of all existing HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with current employment laws and best practices. You will collaborate with management across the organisation to implement updated policies and effectively communicate these changes to all employees. The role is based across both sites in Waterford and Co. Tipperary and offers a competitive salary.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Chartered Membership of CIPD.
  • Minimum 4/5 years experience in HR.
  • Proven experience in HR policy development and management, with a strong understanding of employment law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems, particularly QPulse or similar for document control and training management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage projects efficiently.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct a full audit of existing HR policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with current employment legislation and case law.
  • Review best practice HR policies and procedures from comparable organisations and industries.
  • Update, revise, and draft new HR policies and procedures for review by senior management, ensuring they meet legal standards and organisational needs.
  • Work closely with managers across the organisation to ensure changes and new policies are implemented accurately and fairly.
  • Develop and maintain practical people policies that provide guidance for managers and staff on various employment issues.
  • Integrate updated policies into the employee onboarding process to ensure new hires are well-informed from the start.
  • Utilise QPulse or a similar document control system to manage policy documents and employee training records.
  • Develop an effective communication plan to keep all employees informed about the updates and changes to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ongoing engagement and understanding of HR policies throughout the organisation.
