Description:

DHL Express UK Ltd are currently looking for a passionate and driven HR Talent Management intern to join the HR team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. Working for the Worlds Most International Company, you will gain valuable “hands on” experience and knowledge working alongside a variety of subject matter experts whilst building wider networks throughout the organisation
The HR Talent Intern is responsible for supporting the Recruitment and Talent team with talent development initiatives, maximizing a digital approach via the Learning Management System (LMS).
To be a successful intern the position holder will possess excellent communication skills, enjoy problem solving, be innovative / creative and be able to work with and analyse data. You will achieve success through providing effective support and management of emerging talent initiatives including the Graduate programme and Apprenticeships. You will also support with internal talent development initiatives and programmes aimed at increasing employee attraction and retention.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a university degree programme within a HR or business discipline
  • Obtained a minimum of a 2:1 or on track to do so
  • Excellent skills in Excel, PPT and word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • A team player
  • A desire to learn
  • Must be results oriented, customer focused and have a drive for excellence
  • Must be proactive and adaptable, with a deep concern for accuracy

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with the development and usage of the learning management system to support employee development and succession planning
  • Development and implementation of talent development programmes
  • Play a key role in the graduate recruitment cycle including promotion, recruitment and onboarding
  • Assists with the research and assessment of training programs to identify specific training offerings as required to support the ongoing success of the organization
  • Provide administrative support for online training requests via the LMS
  • Provide support for Virtual training events via systems including Microsoft teams
  • Review and update Recruitment and Talent sharepoint page to ensure employees have access to all necessary information
  • Monitor the emerging talent inbox and respond to enquiries
  • Develop existing materials for usage at internal and external events
  • Manage the logistics of classroom and virtual training activities including room bookings, travel requests, preparing room set up and ensuring all materials are provided
  • Manage inventory of materials for external events
  • Provide ad-hoc support for recruitment activity as required
