Description:

We are currently seeking to fill our HR Training Specialist position at the Philadelphia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

FLSA: Full-time, Exempt

SUMMARY

The HR Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering a range of responsive educational curricula and training programs through in-person, virtual, and blended formats. Additionally, the Training Specialist conducts training needs assessments and evaluates training effectiveness to improve the impact of learning and training activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and virtual meeting applications, preferably on the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • High customer service orientation.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a similar discipline.
  • Certification or advanced degree in organization development or a related field is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, up to eight hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods, up to eight hours per day.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility in order to use personal computers and other office equipment.

Responsibilities:

The successful incumbent will perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Deliver group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and leadership development topics.
  • Develop training curricula; recommend or implement vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives.
  • Formulate training objectives and outlines and determine the appropriate instructional methods to achieve them; apply knowledge of specified training needs, such as adult learning theories, to maximize the impact of learning activities.
  • Select and develop training and job aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
  • Coordinate or perform administrative functions required to deliver, monitor, and document training delivery and program effectiveness.
  • Assist with or conduct training analyses or assessments to plan for or evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs and activities; utilize relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes to instructional objectives and methods.
  • Identify and prepare instructors or subject matter experts to assist with designing, delivering, or evaluating training content and activities, as needed; review instructor performance; recommend and implement improvements to program content and instructor presentation methods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
