Description:
Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking an experienced and motivated HR Practitioner to join their team in Mpumalanga. As an HR Practitioner in the mining industry, you will play a key role in supporting our clients by providing expert HR advice and solutions. You will be responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients in the mining sector and further develop your HR skills and knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BCom Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 10 years HR Generalist experience in the mining industry
- 8 years experience managing trade unions
- Familiarity with relevant legislation (Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Employment, Equity Act.)
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proactive approach to resolving HR issues
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the entire HR function within a specific business unit or department.
- Providing proactive HR services, including recruitment, industrial relations, soft skills training, employee benefits, policy implementation, organizational structure, performance management, employee assistance, and HR administration.
- Offering subject matter expertise and HR advice on a daily basis.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant HR policies and procedures within the business unit.
- Undertaking HR-related projects and conducting research as needed.
- Operating independently most of the time without direct supervision.
- Engaging with shop floor shop stewards and actively resolving grievances.
- Conducting HR-related training for employees and managers as required.
- Generating HR-related reports.
