Description:
Safety Ahead is searching for an HSE Administrator to join our dynamic team. With over 32 years of direct experience in the construction industry, Safety Ahead believes in an honest, direct, genuine approach to safety needs customized to each company or organization.
Job Description
The roles and responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Positive, collaborative approach to work.
Maintain a strong working relationship and effective communication with co-workers and management team.
Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality with regard to company and client information.
Interface with multiple departments and individuals in various capacities in a professional, courteous and respectful manner.
Assist in developing, formatting and maintaining document files (both printed and digital).
Assist the Project Lead, Manager and other team members on other duties as requested (team approach to work assignments).
Conduct inventory counts on company products (monthly) and work with the Controller as requested.
Answer phones in a professional manner and take detailed messages. Respond to emails and website inquiries from customers and potential clients.
Draft correspondence, documents and reports. Take detailed meeting minutes for internal meetings.
Update/input weekly data.
Prepare and ship product orders.
Assist in preparation of materials for special projects and events.
Prepare for and hold safety meetings and site training (for field staff, office staff – including upper management).
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Professional customer service and phone/reception skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint etc.)
Ability to learn and apply new software
Pro-active problem solving skills
Ability to work within strict deadlines when required
Ability to work as part of a team as well as work independently
Excellent reading. proof reading, editing and technical writing skills and verbal communication skills (in the English language)
Excellent organizational skills
