AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!

It is an exciting time to join Birdon! We are currently seeking for a HSE Advisor to support the projects teams in Dampier Slipway, Western Australia. This is a contract role with prospective of becoming a full-time position, hours for this role are school based.
As the HSE Advisor you will be responsible for ensuring employees work within the Birdon safety system which aligns to WHS legislative frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the Birdon “Make it Safe” culture.
  • Control, provide training, and maintain the Permit to Work system.
  • Collect, compile, and update statistical safety data.
  • Maintain safety related registers and equipment workers sign out (gas monitors, radios etc.).
  • Participate in Risk Assessments, SWMS/ JSEA development and other HIRAC activities.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Report incidents, or record incident reports from others.
  • Work closely with the HSEQ Manager & Supervisors to manage safety on Birdon sites.
  • Provide First Aid as required and maintain first aid kits.
  • Maintain exclusion zone and spill kits.
  • Member of the Site Emergency Response Team & facilitate SERT meetings.
  • Assist workers with implementing safety controls and provide safety advice.
  • Administration of safety training and toolboxes.
  • Conduct site safety audits and inspections.Research safety topics.
