We are currently looking for an experienced HSE - Permit to Work Coordinator for a massive undertaking in Germany.
Tasks
The HSE - Permit to Work Coordinator is a critical role responsible for overseeing and managing the Permit to Work (PTW) system within health, safety, and environmental (HSE) parameters. This role ensures the safety and compliance of all operational activities, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, BSC) are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSE roles within the oil, gas, power plants or construction sectors, with specific experience managing PTW systems.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the aforementioned industries.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in German and English.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and familiar with HSE management systems and software
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the PTW system, ensuring all work permits are issued in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, and ensure that all work activities have the appropriate safety and environmental controls in place.
- Serve as the focal point for all PTW activities, coordinating between project management, operational teams, and HSE personnel to ensure seamless operation and compliance.
- Oversee the daily PTW coordination meetings, ensuring efficient communication and resolution of any permit-related issues.
- Audit and review the PTW process, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring compliance with internal and external HSE regulations.
- Promote and enforce the Stop Work Authority, ensuring all personnel are empowered to halt work activities that pose an immediate risk to health, safety, or the environment.
- Ensure all personnel involved in PTW activities are trained and competent in their roles and responsibilities.
