In our EV Systems business line we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

HERE’S WHERE YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

We are now looking for a temporary Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Engineer in the Salo plant.
HSEQ Engineers are responsible for supporting operations in the Salo battery plant and ensuring that we fulfill internal, national and international requirements (customer, regulatory, standards). HSEQ Engineers supports development and implementation of our management system, mainly in the respect of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Working with the Salo Quality and HSE department, HSEQ engineers help to establish and maintain a culture of safe and responsible work and activities.
In practice HSEQ Engineers work to maintain and improve safety and environmental aspects in his/her respected focus areas. HSEQ Engineers maintain and improve KPIs on his/her areas (mainly 5S and LTIF). Work consist for example conducting safety walks and 5S audits and maintaining of our HSE reporting system (Quentic). Work includes measurements when necessary (for example noise, illumination), maintaining and updating of the risk assessments, organizing occupational surveys and other HSE related tasks.
The position is fixed until the end of August 2025 and will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. This position is located in Salo and reports to the HSE Manager in Salo.
