Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

We seek a highly skilled and motivated HSEQ / Marine Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Standards and manage marine matters across our fleet of Flex LNG vessels. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for maritime safety, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master or Chief Officer COC, with at least 2 years sea-going experience as Chief officer on Tanker.
  • At least 2-years experience at middle management level in the QHSE department of a shipping company
  • M.Sc or B.Sc in Maritime Studies/ Naval Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Certification for ISM, ISPS & MLC Internal Auditor.
  • Previous shore experience of two years in a similar position would be advantageous.
  • Good regulatory knowledge of class requirements and international standards.
  • Must be conversant with ISM/MLC/SIRE/CDI and TMSA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate within multicultural office and shipboard environments.
  • Conducting Shipboard and Office Quality Management System Internal Audits.

  • Strong knowledge and application of marine legislation and OCIMF Vetting Regime.
  • Audit and Investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor vessel operations for compliance with the Company’s HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Providing support to the vessels in the HSEQ and Marine matters.
  • Carry out internal audits, inspections, and assessments on the vessel.
  • Writing audit and inspection reports and following up on the closure of reports.
  • Support the Head of HSEQ in the incident investigation.
  • Support the HSEQ and Vetting team in management and review of TMSA submission for the company.
  • Preparing and publishing newsletter, HSEQ/Marine summary and shared learnings from the industry.
  • Support the Head of HSEQ in Safety/ Marine matters of vessels, offices and contracted service functions.
  • Maintain the SMS platform in compliance with governing Maritime rules and regulations.
  • Collating inspection, audit results and HSEQ performance data for trend analysis.
  • Support the Head of HSEQ in running the safety campaigns.
  • Monitor SMS change requests by users and collaborate with the process owners to prepare procedure changes and update the SMS.
  • Monitor legislative changes (IMO/Class/Flag), amend processes and procedures and publish in SMS.
  • Provide SMS and HSEQ training to sea and shore staff as required, and implement quality objectives in the fleet.
  • Support the crewing, vetting and technical departments as required.
  • Support the Head of HSEQ to analyse performance data and drive performance improvements.
