Description:

We are seeking a Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Lead to join us in our London & South East region. The role can be based out of any of our regional offices in the South East and will include regular travel across the region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving multi-disciplinary consultancy business as we continue to grow our UK & Ireland business. Stantec’s core values are founded on our commitment to the health and safety of our people and being ethical underpins our values and strengthens everything we do.
We can offer you a welcoming environment to work in, a strong learning culture, and the opportunity to play an important role in our HSSE team that supports a group of 2500+ talented operational delivery teams, engineers, planners, scientists and functional service teams nationwide.
You will support the UK&I HSSE Manager and operational leadership with the implementation of the Stantec HSSE Programme and progressing our SaferTogether culture. The role provides trusted advisor support and coaching to operational leadership. It is a hands-on role, working with our project delivery teams and office facilities management. You will also work closely with the wider HSSE team both in the UK&I and globally to embed and continually improve our programme.
The role requirements are varied but include influencing leadership and coaching; enabling good and best practice; governance and assurance; performance analysis, process improvements, learning from events, external collaboration, driving leading behaviours and competence.
