REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver’s License.
  • Three (3) years of broad-based professional human resource experience in the areas of classification, compensation, recruitment and selection, training, organizational development and/or labor relations. College-level coursework from an accredited institution may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities:

As an Human Resource Consultant 3 (HRC3), you will provide senior level human resource consultation to agency staff, supervisors, and managers in classification, compensation, recruitment and selection, training and organizational development functions. You will be working under general direction to provide administrative counsel to customers regarding a broad range of human resource management issues which require the application of professional judgement in the analysis of complex human resource and operational relationships.

Our new teammate will be able to:

  • Provide senior-level consultation, guidance, interpretation and support to assigned customers regarding human resource rules, regulations, policies and procedures in areas such as classification, compensation, performance management, layoff and organizational development.
  • Consult with and advise managers and supervisors about the recruitment and selection process as well as documentation requirements.
  • Prepare job announcements through the NEOGOV system.
  • Ensure recruiting requirements are completed in accordance with supervisor/manager requirements and in compliance with WSP policies and procedures, WAC and/or the CBA.
  • Provide training to managers, supervisors, and employees as needed.
  • Review and analyze position description forms and position review requests and recommend appropriate position allocations.
  • Prepare and present logical, thoughtful, and defensible allocation analysis write-ups.
  • Attend job/career fairs to support agency hiring.
