Our team in Toronto is actively seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will support all human resources programs such as compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and, staffing and recruitment within their client group.
Responsibilities:
- Builds effective relationships to facilitate acting as an advisor to the Employees, Department Leaders, Supervisors and Managers to ensure the fair and consistent implementation of Company policies and procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Understands, interprets, and ensures compliance to York1 policies, procedures, programs and legislative requirements in the area of: Employment Standards, Employee Relations, and Human Rights.
- Promotes and facilitates processes for employee concerns and questions to be resolved using communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Works to find resolutions to employee concerns.
- Assists with the development, interpretation and continual updating of Company policies and procedures.
- Provides support to employees for administrative requests, inquiries, and attends meetings as an impartial mediator with the employee/leader.
- Monitors and prepares progressive discipline.
- Assist with the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, candidate management, assessment, interview, and on-boarding.
- Develop and maintain functional metrics and provide key insights for action in the delivery key performance indicators.
- Develop and promote a positive and engaged employee culture.
