Description:

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources required. PHR/SHRM-CP Certificate preferred.
  • Demonstrated and thorough understanding of California employment law.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) speaking highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of use and administration of HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of use and administration of an employee timekeeping/payroll system.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail oriented, strong time management and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements in a manufacturing facility
    Compensation Range: $85,000 to $95,000 annually, based upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the safety programs required for regulatory compliance for the facility by providing leadership and direction for the Safety Coordinator.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with employees within the facility. Be a resource to provide guidance and education on Human Resource processes for all Team Members.
  • Conduct investigations of team member complaints, document findings, analyze situation, propose appropriate action to relevant leadership team members and take required action.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment of Operational team members including screening, arranging onsite interviews and pre-employment testing. Participate in the process of recruitment of staff team members.
  • Onboarding direct hire and agency employee candidates ensuring they understand the company’s policies and procedures and their responsibilities.
  • Support the administration of skill level development of Operational Team Members through the tracking on monitoring of skill assessment.
  • Provide guidance on leave of absence options for employees. Administer leave of absence for all facility team members requiring time away from work.
  • Acting as a point of contact, supporting and advising front line managers with various employee concerns including disciplinary meetings and terminations.
  • Work with other Human Resource Professional across Luxfer Gas Cylinders in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and Human Resource Improvement Projects.
  • Facilitate employee focused events that celebrate organizational achievements and other organizational events.
  • Process facility payroll by ensuring accuracy of information. Produce requested reports regarding operational hours.
  • Develop recommendations for HR process improvements and take appropriate action to make improvements.
