How you make a difference:
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will offer adept para-professional administrative assistance within various Human Resources functions, encompassing recruitment, employee relations, personnel records, benefits administration, and regulatory reporting. Operating with a degree of autonomy, you’ll demonstrate creative problem-solving and adaptability while executing essential tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of HR policies, providing guidance to employees and resolving inquiries.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and maintain accurate HRIS records, including personnel transactions and payroll matters.
- Manage unemployment claims and representation at hearings, while overseeing worker’s compensation claims and FMLA processes.
- Take charge of preparing critical reports, analyzing trends, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Offer backup support for HR Assistant duties and lead work flow when necessary, showcasing your ability to manage various HR functions effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of related work experience and education required.
- Good working knowledge and familiarity with Human Resources concepts, practices, procedures and basic employment laws required.
- Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience working with an in-house HR Information System preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Professional in Human Resources or similar certification is preferred.
