    Our AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada facility is seeking to add to our Human Resources Team. We are looking to fill this entry level position with a candidate who is friendly, positive, energetic, computer savvy, and eager to learn. Experience with office processes, benefits administration and Human Resources an asset.
    The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources team for both the Marine and Industrial divisions. The HR Administrative Assistant is also responsible for the professional management of the Front Reception Area at the Chilliwack facility.

IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

  • Minimum 6 months’ work experience providing HR and/or administrative support.
  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources an asset
  • Strong proficiency in computers including MS Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Positive and outgoing attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a past paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in manufacturing is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Provides front desk reception and on-site customer support
  • Maintains professional and clean Front Lobby/Desk area including timely mail/courier distribution
  • Maintains office supply cabinets including inventory levels and ordering supplies
  • Assists the Culture Committee with Company events and activities (i.e. BBQ’s, Golf Tournament, Christmas Party etc.)
  • Tracks and maintains company swag
  • Updates and maintains all human resource files and documents, in accordance with AdvanTec standards
  • Provides cross-division administrative support to HR in such areas as:
  • Benefits Processing
  • Employee File Management
  • Completes Travel and Verification of Employment letters
  • Assists with Attendance Management
  • Assists with Recruitment as required
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for all benefit programs including answering employee questions about their benefits as well as processing enrollments and changes
  • Collaborates with quality to ensure ISO documents for HR Department are maintained
  • Responsible for providing administrative support for recruitment & selection including posting jobs, scheduling interviews and conducting reference checks as needed.
  • Other Human Resources duties as assigned
