Description:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: SITTING, STANDING, WALKING, TALKING, SITTING AT A DESK, AND WORKING ON A COMPUTER. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT TO FIFTEEN POUNDS AT TIMES. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: SEDENTARY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PERFORMING NON-STRENUOUS DAILY ACTIVITIES OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE NATURE.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide administrative support for the Director of Human Resources
  • Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation.
  • Collect and manage data. Manage and update HR databases for new hires, terminations, warnings, etc.
  • Prepare, manage and communicate/distribute paperwork for HR policies and procedures.
  • Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information concerning the employment experience.
  • Maintain schedule and coordinate calendar activities for the HR Director and the HR Department
  • Assist recruiters in posting job ads on careers pages and processing received resumes.
  • Answer telephone calls and provide needed information to employees and employment verification.
  • Create reports for senior management as requested.
  • Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
  • Be familiar with, stay abreast all Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
  • Communicate office closings or change in operation hours.
  • Be proactive in updating all employment related material and take the initiative in securing prior approval to disburse information to employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Educational and General Qualifications: Must have prior experience as an HR administrative assistant for (3-5) years; An Associate degree or Bachelors’ degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a similar area of study preferred; Must have Excellent organizational and time-management skills; Operate as a reliable and supportive team member; Have a customer service and a data driven mindset; EXPERTISE level ability to effectively use computer software, specifically, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. Knowledge of and experience using other various HR software a plus; Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are a must for the position; and, Possess and reflect a professional demeanor in dress, attitude, and communication.
