Description:
Our client, a leading customer communications company, is looking for a HR Administrator to join the HR Shared Services team for a busy site based in Sunderland.
The HR Shared Service Centre is a centralised team responsible for the transactional and administrative HR activities utilising various tools to on-board new hires and manage the full employee life cycle. This role will have responsibility for providing on-site HR Admin support in our Sunderland office and wider parts of the business.
SKILLS:
- Previous HR and/or Recruitment Administration experience
- Understanding of Right to work checks and the legislation surrounding this.
- Experienced admin user of a HR system, preferably MHR iTrent
- Good administration skills with strong attention to detail
- Advanced Excel user, preferably with experience of all MS Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good time management
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.
- Displays initiative and creative thinking.
- Willingness to suggest improvements to existing HR processes.
- Works well under pressure
- Enthusiastic with a positive approach to work
- Ability to travel and work from other sites as and when required.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the HR mailbox to process and triage queries, escalating more complex issues to others in the Field HR team.
- Administering the recruitment email inbox, sending applications on to the relevant manager
- Adding new starters to the HR system, job offer letters and screening issuing contracts, processing contractual change variations as required and leavers.
- Complete mail merges for correspondence to employees
- Support with regulatory site audits. Providing relevant documentary evidence relating to new joiners, movers and leavers including processes.
- Manage the data integrity of iTrent Position Management, ensuring the company structure is accurately configured in the system.
- General administration support to the HR teams.
- Ensure iTrent data is up to date and accurate.
- Liaise with Payroll regarding employee remuneration and benefits in a timely manner.
- initiating & facilitating pre-employment checks
- Allocated projects as and when required.
- Sorting out daily post that arrives
- Maintain HR records securely and confidentially.
- Data inputting, processing documents, keeping records up to date.
- Advise employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Support managers and employees with Self-service issues.
- Drafting and responding to employee, tenancy, mortgage references
