EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
- Previous experience in mining or a related industrial environment is highly desirable and considered a significant asset.
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred, or a strong commitment to achieving this designation.
- Comprehensive understanding of the BC Employment Standards Act, Canadian Human Rights Act, BC Mines Act, etc.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Able to work 12-hour shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
- Proficient in both written and verbal English, capable of effective communication across various organizational levels.
- Upholds a very high level of integrity and confidentiality, with a strong capacity to act with discretion, respect, and empathy in all interactions.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, adept at managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains a positive attitude towards problem-solving and excels in fostering team collaboration.
- Flexible and adaptable, capable of responding effectively to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with HR Management Systems (HRMS) such as UKG or ADP.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
