Job Description:
Dragonfly Shipping is seeking a proficient and highly motivated Human Resources Advisor to join our team in West End. In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s human resources functions and contributing to our organisation’s overall success by partnering closely with Operational Managers to ensure they are equipped to lead their teams effectively. In addition to the usual suite of HR function responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects related to compliance, WHS, and employee training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees on various HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Support managers in the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening resumes, arranging interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives, including compliance processes and procedures, training and development, and employee engagement programs.
  • Be a true partner to operational leaders, supporting their business units through timely advice and value-add programs

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or requisite experience.
  • Proven experience working in a Human Resources role.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
