SALARY: $139,395 –$181,216QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
The purpose of this position is: To develop analysis methodologies, visualizations, reports using HR datasets to influence decisions by the highest levels of leadership. Develop solutions for variety of personnel issues, full HR lifecycle management, quality of life concerns, resource allocation using advanced techniques. Help senior leadership make data driven decisions to improve support and management of AF members. Transition the AF from legacy data and code formats to modern and platform neutral approaches. Laise with other organizations to develop common sight pictures in the team’s analytic approach, work with stakeholders to improve credentialed access across the enterprise.

- At a minimum, bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position or a combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours), plus additional education or appropriate experience.
- Advanced professional knowledge of a broad range of data integration, data management, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning operations, and research techniques applicable to operations, resourcing, and information processes.
- Expert knowledge of a broad range of quantitative techniques and methods to resolve the most difficult problems within the defense community.
- Expert knowledge and ability to apply statistical analysis to develop, adapt, modify, and apply data integration and management activities to solve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions for management.
- Skill and ability in leading advanced study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
- Mastery of skill necessary to develop and utilize appropriate data modelling, data collection, data engineering, and databasing techniques, as well as skills to design, build / use algorithms, models, and simulation techniques that enable inferential statistics, predictive analytics, and visualization of compiled data.
- Advanced skill in articulating and negotiating very complex and sensitive issues with officials of diverse perspectives and often with different or opposing views. Expert Ability to negotiate and defend findings and gain executive support for new program concepts.
- A nationally recognized professional certification in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a directly related sub-field; and professional experience in operations research or computer science is highly desirable.
- Skills in Python and or , SAS, R, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik are highly desirable.
