Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for a variety of day to day administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the HR Coordinator in all aspects of recruiting, including completion of Staffing Requisition Form, job postings, interviews, campus recruitment, digital recruitment, and monthly Auditions.
  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all regulations, departmental policies, and procedures.
  • Uses HRIS database and applicant tracking system frequently to manage and input data, including but not limited to reviewing and auditing HR systems.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department on a daily basis. This includes, but is not limited to answering phones, assisting internal and external guests, setting appointments, filing, preparing documents & paperwork, running reports, escorting candidates to appointments, & ensuring up to date information is available for our Team Members.
  • Responsible for ensuring ID badges are ready for new hires
  • Responsible for ensuring that new team member onboarding is complete and an authentic experience that rocks. This includes setting up IT requirements- software and hardware, AGCO requirements, security, providing benefits information
  • Ensures uniform inventory levels are appropriate and items available for new hires during onboarding
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external clients
  • Required to work an HR rotation every other Friday night
  • Assist in inputting all new hires in ICIMS system
  • Creation and upkeep of employee files
  • Assist in managing uniform and reimbursement program
  • Assisting Human Resources Generalists as required
  • Other assignments as directed

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1 years in human resources as an assistant
  • Experience in casino and/or hotel environment preferred
  • Knowledge of HRIS is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

  • Must possess ability to comprehend written or verbal basic instructions
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
