JOIN OUR TEAM AS A Human Resources Assistant
Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?
Performs a variety of clerical and reception duties in support of the human resources functions of recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits and employee relations. Utilizes good communication skills in daily interaction with customers and serves as a resource person to answer inquiries and general information. When necessary, directs information and questions to the appropriate HR personnel.
Schedule: 24 hours per week Part Time
Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field is preferred
Experience: Experience in human resources preferred. One year of customer service experience preferred.
Additional Requirements: Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules interviews and reference checks. Answers incoming calls, screens and directs calls to internal party as appropriate. Relays information to callers and/or answers basic questions. Administer Pre-employment assessment tests.
  • Verify professional licensure, registrations, and certifications.
  • Schedules orientation and pre-employment physical and paperwork for new hires. Processes all new hire paperwork including I-9 data, criminal background checks, tax information and benefit enrollment. Greets clients, employees and visitors. Provides information and answers basic questions regarding current employment opportunities.
  • Assists recruitment, and compensation & benefits staff in the processing of reference checks or other miscellaneous duties when requested.
  • Mails exit interview surveys and tallies monthly results for processing.
  • Participates in the coordination of activities for a variety of employee recreational and recognition events for the facility.
  • Performs general clerical support to include typing, copying, etc. as directed.
  • Processes ID badges for new, temporary and transferred employees and for general contractors based at the facility.
  • Processes request for employment verification.
  • Maintain employee and vendor files.
