QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.

  • Progressively responsible work experience in personnel.
  • Ability to communicate orally and deal effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to type and perform office automation functions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using the English Language in a clear, concise and grammatically correct manner.

In addition to the above, Highly Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

  • Experience working in a DOD NAF Human Resources Office
  • Experience working with DCPDS, USA Staffing, NIFMS, EOPF
  • Experience with processing FMLA and Workman’s Comp

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

  • Processes a wide variety of routine and complex personnel actions requiring an in-depth knowledge of Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) civilian personnel rules and regulations.
  • Provides advice and assistance to lower level employees on the preparation and processing of documents related to pay, compensation, benefits training, permanent change of station moves and/or other aspects of NAF employment.
  • Receives and rates applications for employment.
  • Prepares referrals and arranges for interviews at the request of management.
  • Writes and posts job announcements. In-processes and out-processes employees, conducts orientations and interviews potential candidates for employment opportunities as required.
  • Ensures the maintenance of the automated personnel database. Establishes and maintains official folders, files and reports.Performs other duties as assigned.
