Description:

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will perform a variety of professional administrative tasks to support the Human Resources team. This role will support multiple human resources functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, benefits, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), personal leaves, background check screening, and/or employee records. Will conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references, assist in the onboarding process, and respond to routine questions on HR policy. This role is an onsite role based out of our Burnsville, MN location.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Prior experience with Microsoft 0365 suite
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

  • Provides communication on leave of absences, FMLA, and ADA notices; Gathers required documentation, reviews for completion and submits for approval
  • Files and monitors worker compensation claims, alerts administrators of medical information and status to support return to work process
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Recruitment support; review resumes, phone screens, tabling events
  • Ability to learn and operate multiple systems to support HR functions (HRIS, Kudos, Applicant Tracking, credentialing, etc)
  • Support onboarding processes with gathering candidate information, background checks, and other credentialing documentation
  • Will provide back-up support to recruitment, benefits and credentialing
  • Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data (spreadsheets and excel workbooks)
  • Will need to travel to other locations and hiring events
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and documents with high data integrity and confidentiality
  • Conduct audits and validate the accuracy of information in systems
  • Able to engage, share ideas and work with a team of HR professionals
  • Must meet the physical demands listed below
  • Complete all other projects/duties as assigned
